Attic Insulation

Attic Insulation Contractor Installing Attic Insulation We are proud to serve Dallas, Denton, Lewisville, Flower Mound, Frisco, Little Elm, Aubrey, Carrollton, Plano, Allen, McKinney, Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, Dallas, Fort Worth, Hurst, Euless, Bedford, N Richland Hills, and Richland Hills with all of your home efficiency and attic insulation needs. When looking at investing in attic insulations you should first ask yourself a few key questions:
  • Does your A/C System seem to continue running and your house doesn't get any cooler on hot days?
  • When you go into the attic are the ceiling joists visible?
  • Is your home more than 15 years old?
  • Does your home utilize recessed lighting?
You guessed it. By answering "Yes" to any of these questions you will most likely save a significant amount of money on your utility bills with the needed attic insulation.  One of the areas that make Go Green stand out from some of the other attic insulation companies in the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex is our integrity and our honest pricing. We do not "Fluff" (add air to the insulation to make it look like there is more insulation installed than there really is and we will install the exact number of bags of attic insulation that we quote you.

Before we tackle some questions we are commonly asked, you should know that attic insulation probably has the single biggest effect on Year Round utility bills and the comfort you feel in your home. Now lets tackle some typical attic insulation questions:

1. Will I really see a difference in my utility bills with adding attic insulation?

Yes. Our customers are reporting as much as 30% savings. This is because as much as 15% or more of your energy costs is actually escaping your home and not heating or cooling it. Simply stopping that loss will mean your heater and a/c system will run less often and use less energy.

2. What is R-Value?

R-Value is a measurement of how well a material can hold back heat or thermal resistance. When we are talking about attic insulation products the higher the R-Value the stronger its thermal resistance.

3. How do we know if we have enough attic insulation?

The exact answer depends on many factors including the age of your house, the size and layout of the home, the amount you currently have installed and the type of attic insulation you will be using. For a free in home consultation, click on the big red link at the top of the page.

4. If I have a new home why would I need attic insulation?

When a new home is built, the builder will put in enough insulation to meet code. Unfortunately, what is required to meet a city code is usually not the amount that will provide you with the greatest energy savings. In fact, we find that most of the new homes we evaluate will see a utility bills savings with extra attic insulation. Enough of a saving in fact to recommend having more added.
